Genetic diagnosis refers to the process of screening embryos for diseases prior to implantation in the mother’s uterus. The aim of this service is to avoid inherited diseases that may lead to severe consequences if transferred to children, OR abnormal babies (Down syndrome). In this treatment, IVF is carried out normally to produce embryos, which are then genetically screened to exclude abnormal embryos. Genetically normal embryos are then transferred back to the uterus to conceive healthy offspring.
